Basics of 3D pipeline, explanation of pre-production, production, post-production, history of animation, types of animation, how animation industry evaluation over the century, brief about studios in India & other countries, difference between 2Dimension & 3Dimension, pipeline explanation from 2D to 3D, 3D to VFX, 3D to Games, animation usages in 3D industry ex: Movies, Games, Architecture etc., showcasing 3D demo reels from different industry. Introduction to 3D Software installation, types of other 3D, sculpting, texturing, painting, & rendering software packages, Brief explanation about employment opportunity in 3D.

Explanation of User Interface & menu’s, viewport navigation controls, different types of viewports, description about primitives, explanation of tool box, project folder settings, new, save & open files, layers, selection criteria, snaps, pivots / gizmo, groups, link / parent, duplicates, undo & redo. Briefing about curves / splines, discussing about polygon & curve components with usages, explanation of different types of curves.

Briefing about tools like extrude, bevel, smooth, loop tool, multi-cut, bridge, Booleans mirror, merge, combine etc., explanation about triangles, quads &ngons, exploring curve tools like loft, revolve, extrude, add points tool, attach curve, detach curve, adding points etc., soft selection tool usages, description about sculpting tools in 3D application. Introduction to UV’s, different types of UV mapping like planer / box, spherical, cylindrical, automatic etc., briefing about Texel density, explanation of tools like unfold, optimize, layout, move & sew stitches, integration between 3D to 2D application about UV maps.

Explanation about hypershade / material window, explanation about different types of shaders like lambert, blinn, phong, anisotropic etc., briefing about commonly used maps like diffuse / color map, specularity, normal / bump map, roughness, reflection, refraction, sub surface scattering, transparent / opacity, height / displacement. Lecturing about textures like fabric, wood, marbles, chrome, glass, velvet, wax etc., showcasing about painting software usages for 3D pipeline, explanation of alphas, brushes, masking, generators, filters, materials etc.,

Explanation of concepts of lights, difference between direct and indirect lighting, briefing about real and reel world light difference, different type of lights is directional, omni / point, spot & area lights, showcasing about emissive & photometric lights, lecturing about environment / HDRI lighting pipeline, explanation about render settings, introduction about camera and its angle with properties like shutter, F-stop, exposure, depth of field, bokeh etc., concept explanation about three point lighting, light rig set-up. Explanation of photorealistic render engine in 3D like Arnold, Cycles, Eevee, V-ray etc., showcasing about render engine shaders and materials, briefing about render passes for compositing.

Introduction to joint / bone set up, explanation of tools are insert, mirror, orient, connect joints, briefing about IK handle connections, introduction to deformers, showcasing deform tools like blend shape, cluster, wrap, jiggle, lattice, nonlinear tools, explaining about different types of skin / binding methods from joints to object, describing about skin weights & interactive bind skin, importance of parent, group, constraints.

Briefing about traditional 12 animation principles, basic exercises on ball bouncing, walk, run, jump, weight lift along with this explanation about body mechanics. Briefing about lip sync and facial expressions.

Introduction to particle systems, briefing about different types of emitters, colliders, particle shapes, instance / duplicates, describing about different types of fields like air, vortex, turbulence, gravity etc., explanation about fluid simulation, showcasing fire, water, smoke, dust exercises, briefing about cloth simulation with colliders, introduction to hair system, explanation of soft and rigid bodies.
